The Club has held or been a participant in many events over the years often being invited to produce floral displays for Church festivals.
We have also held two flower festivals at Daisy Nook Garden Centre, the first being "Strictly Come Dancing" and the second being "Blooming Dogs". These festivals enabled the Club to raise sufficient funds for us to name a Guide Dog Puppy. (See later page "Guide Dog Puppy "Hope")

Heather Hayes whose title for her demonstration was "With Beauty In Mind" In October 2017 Kathleen Williams hosted a hands on workshop. 15th November 2017 "Countdown to Christmas" A demonstration by Kathleen Williams On 25th January 2018 Kethleen Williams hosted a hands on workshop. On Wednesday 17th January, 2018 at Daisy Nook Garden Centre Kathleen Williams gave a short demonstration entitled “10 Green Bottles”. She showed how to use bottles in a design – empty or full The demonstration was followed by a “hands on” session where those attending were able to make a bottle design. On Wednesday 21st February 2018 we were entertained by Sylvia Bowers from Stockport with her demonstration entitled "All kinds of everything" Wednesday 18th April 2018, Kathleen Williams held a demonstration of floral art and design entitled "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" Members of the club participated in a Flower Festival "Blooms of Broadway" held at Willow Wood Hospice on 12th/13th May 2018 On Wednesday 15th August 2018 we were further entertained by Anne Morgan from Morecambe with her dazzling displays entitled In The Pink On Wednesday 18th September 2018 Kathleen Williams produced 3 displays which were followed by members and visitors creating their own arrangement entitled "An Autumn Surprise" To view a video of the designs created copy and paste the following link into your browser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYmoXYkF7pU November 21st 2018“Our Christmas Cocktail” - This was a dazzling demonstation of floral art plus entertainment by a duo of demonstrators - Louise Jones and Debbie Davies, Chelsea and Tatton Gold Medal winners 2018. On Wednesday 20th February 2019 Kathleen Williams produced a number of displays which was followed on by by members and visitors creating their own arrangements On Wednesday 20th March 2019 David Mason produced a number of displays entitled "Something a bit Different" On Wednesday 15th May 2019 Anne Russell created some wonderful dispays entitled "A walk in the Park" On Wednesday 19th June 2019 David Mason held a workshop on leaf manipulation. On Wednesday 17th July 2019 Catherine Baines entertained us with her brilliant creations on the theme "Summer is here" Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness On Wednesday 18th September 2019 Kathleen Williams held a demonstration of floral art followed by a workshop for those attending the event to make an autumnal piece to take home. On Wednesday 16th October 2019 we were entertained by Namiye Siangra with her creations on the theme "All Things Bright & Beautiful" On Wednesday 20th November 2019 we held our Christmas demonstration when some absolutely wonderful designs were created for our enjoyment by Anthony Williams whose theme was"Christmas by Design" On Wednesday 19th February 2020 we were entertained by Kathleen Williams who, once again, created some beautiful designs with her title "Hold the front page" On Tuesday 22nd November 2022, we finally came together again following a long lay off following the lockdowns due to the Pandemic with a demonstration by Kathleen Williams at which she created 9 designs which were raffled off at the end of the event.
